2004 gxp
i am going to test drive a 2004 bonnie gxp monday after work. 31,000 miles , black and pretty much spotless. just a few light scratches on the rear bumper cover. no moon roof though. it was listed at $21.995 but now its down to $17,995. i just might buy it if i can get the price down a little more. man does it look sweet !! a gxp would take the sting out of selling my ssei !

You might be disappointed. I know I was when I drove one. No negativity intended at all, but an SSEi is more durable, less troublesome, easier to mod, and will kill a GXP on the quarter.

I'll take the 4t-80 any day over a 4t-65 HD.
The handling improvements are nice. You'd have better brakes, little slower off the line, but quicker once you're going along. The Northstar should also be smoother.

GXP
Visually the GXP is awesome, the wheels are sweet, the fascia improvements are very well done and the ride quality is definitely improved. However, I don't care for the white-face gauges and no sunroof adds to body stability but takes away from ascetic. Also, be fore warned that those Northstar Engines get very needy as they age. I would definitely look into extended powertrain coverage.
P.*.: Try to get them down to 15,500.00.

To all the doubters out there on 1/4 mile times comparing the GXP to the SSEi:
There is no argument. The track times we've seen from the GXP put it solidly BEHIND a BONE-STOCK SSEi. Dyno numbers from INTENSE were also disappointing. A stock GXP is NOT quicker than a stock SSEi in the quarter mile. V8 does not automatically mean quicker.
