Default UGH! ofcourse, this has to happen now!

Today i decided to take my Bonneville out, me and a friend went for lunch, and since i think the Bonneville is more of a nice car for a girl to ride in, i took it. After i dropped her off, i headed home, the temp gage rose WAY high, just into the red zone, no TEMP light, but i was defintally expecting it. My only thoughts were, fine then blow up. So i was 2 mins from home, my SES light comes on, once again i roll my eyes thinkin WTF now. Scanned it for codes, code 54 EGR problem. So i un hooked the battery, reset the pcm, now the code is gone, the needle only went into the red zone breifly while in traffic sitting, then once i was moving it came down and hoverd around this zone..shown in the picture

The quick and dirty way to convert celcius to farenheit is to double the temeprature and add 32...

(140 * 2) + 32 = 312.

It'* not the EXACT conversion formula, but it'll get you damn close.

That'* about what mine is normally at in slow traffic. Usually just above 200 normally (80 on yours), with a 180 T-stat...

Probably because of my HAI....I need a CAI bad...

I don't think intake air temperatures affect engine temps *that* much if at all :?:

Is the 92-99 fan always on one speed? It may not be speeding up when needed, which can bring temps up in the city. Since I have no working A/C (condenser = fubar), I rigged up the other A/C fan next to the regular fan to work in conjunction with the cooling fan. Instant two-fan setup
