is road force worth 100.00 ? I wonde how many had vibration problems solved by RF balancing ?

Goodyear recomends NO RF but match mounting ??? This all seems like over kill but who knows ...

You're getting RIPPED. I've had my last 3 sets on the Zilla RFB for only 35 bucks. On a BRAND NEW machine. Call around.

Will 35.00 for all 4 tires ?? Some here say it doesn't help their vibration ?

Vibration isn't an issue RFB can fix. That'* a tire problem or a balance problem, or a problem with your car.

Do you have a vibration only when turning left? Or right? Or only at a particular speed when turning one way or another?

If not, don't waste your money.

Road Force Balancing simulates side loads at different speeds to correct problems like this.

If you have vibration at a certain speed, but not determined by lateral loads (turning), go back to the basics and forget RFB.

Naw I have the vib at speeds above 55 mph on the highway. Tried all new tires twice both Goodyears and michlins. All new rotors,tie rod ends, 4 wheel alingment, wheel bearings are all good no runout. Still vibs mostly in the floor and seat.

Moved tires fron to back no chg, ready to junk it. 99 Park with 100k otherwise its mint !

Time to start looking at subframe busings and steering components (rack) etc. And your calipers and brake lines.

Road force balancing will do nothing but empty your wallet if you have a vibration only at a certain speed. Other than to tell you your tires and wheels are fine.

I second what Willwren said. I've tried the RFB on mine and it didn't help at all. Do a search you'll find a few threads on vibration issues with the 2k plus Bonnevilles.

I spent over a grand finding my problem. 4 new tires, one rim, balanced them 3 times and then a RFB, new lower control arms (Per TSB) and an alignment. I went through the dealer and an independent shop trying to resolve my vib issue. It was never fixed from either shop. I was in need of front brakes so when I did it I had the rotors turned and what do do ya know... no more vibe. I couldn't feel it in the pedal when braking so I never would have suspected that would fix it :? Now my vib is back so I bought some new rotors and better pads. As soon as I get time I'm gonna change these cheap oem rotors and pads and hopefully be vib free for good.

well I did it... I took it to Firestone and paid 40.00 for the RF. The first tire was a number 9 , then a number 11, then a number 13 then.... A 26 ! Too much, machine said it couldnt be adjusted, the tech tried to rotate the tire to match mount and see if he could get it below 20.

This was the rear right side tire. He couldnt get it on. So I went up the street where I purchased them and the mgr let me take 3 new ones off the shelf. So I went back and we broke down and remounted a new on, came back as a number 24 still to high and again couldnt be adjusted.

So... he check the lateral and radial runout of the rim and it was on the money. He remounted another and it came up 15 ! Well within spec, he balanced and put it on. It is much better not sure if its perfect but I will be driving it 500 miles tomorrow so fingers are crossed !'

The concept of the machine is a good one. If I still have a vib at least I know tires and rims are not the reason. Again I have check everything else I can think of..

I still feel it may be something touching the frame or the floor transmitting the road vib to the floor. Well we shall see. If this isnt it my tranny guy said bring it up and we will run it on the lift. :?

I've been down the road with the vob on my wifes Olds 98. Glad to hear you might have solved yours.

I had a consistent vibration within specific speed ranges with my car. A good friend of mine has been a mechanic for 20 years and we went through my car looking for the cause. Wheel balancing at 2-3 different shops didn't work (thought maybe the problem was bad technique and/or a machine problem). Finally, after a RFB the issue was resolved. My vibration was during straight, level driving at 90 - 120 km/hr. This wasn't affected by turns and it didn't matter which of my two sets of tires I was using. Not many shops up here have the machine and I paid $130.00 / 4 wheels.

For me, at it may vary from one person to another, it was well worth it. There are few things that grate on my nerves more that a highway trip with a vibration! This isn't of course to say that it will fix your particular problem.
