Interesting. I've used Fram for the last 40,000 miles in my car and it seems ok. Just as long as I change it every 2-3K miles or else it gets all black and yucky. I've used Fram in every vehicle. And to top it off I use that wonderful Penzoil oil.

I agree! 221,000 miles(and 40K with Fram) can't be bad. As for me, the past 12 months I've been using Wal-Marts best $2.00 Oil Filters along with Exxons Dino Oil. But I change my oil closer to 4000 miles since most of my miles are racked up fast on the highway. I believe no 10W-30 Oil or Filter is bad for your car. Just change it on a regular basis.

I always stick with the factory filter (AC Delco) or a Mobil 1 filter.

Every 3000 miles, Mobil 1 Synthetic and a genuine Toyota oil filter. (Us vibers got toyo engines, so i figure keep it all in the family) :)
