They've been running the GXP ads for about 6 months now on all networks and radio. Motor Trend still has a lot of interest in the car. They do run ads for the GXP, but no other trim. They also noted a couple of months ago about how the new Zeta platform was the basis for 5 or 6 new GM models, including a RWD V8 Bonneville! My Monte goes to that platform a year before, but on a shorter wheelbase. Too, bad Chevy. Gotta go BIG, next time.

Dang it! All I remember were the "Wider is better" ads with the Grand Prix'*. Hell, I can vividly remember the 1997 ad for the GTP right when they changed to the newer body style and L67 engine. It was coooool.
Dark city street, small misting on the road, jet black GTP, and a deep cigarette smoking voice said, "Wider is better." Then I pointed at the screen (age 14 at the time) and said, "Yes...yes it is! And I want that freaking car."

The " Luxury with attitude" commercial was from 96-98'. Those were awsome. There were Lincoln town cars, grand marquis, and even rolls royces sitting in a parking lot and the anouncer says, "SICK OF BORING LUXURY CARS THAT ARE MADE FOR PARKING LOTS". Then all of a sudden a Bonny roars by doing at least 80mph. The anouncer then says, " THE 240HP BONNEVILLE SSEI, LUXURY WITH ATTITUDE. ITS MADE FOR PASSING ZONES NOT PARKING LOTS.
Another favorite commercial of mine is the 97' Olds LSS running the salom with a cheetah. It actually beats the cheetah and they hit the strait away at the end and they pul about even then the LSS pulls and the Cheetah stops pants and the announcer says, " THE NEW OLDS LSS WILL LEAVE THE COMPITITION, WELL, A BIT WINDED."

The ads in National geographic ranged from the 92-97ish Bonnevilles..during the "Luxury with an Atiitude" phase and before. I remembered those ads from childhood, and was the first time I was introduced to the HUD. It was nice to finally get what I saw in a magazine when I was a kid.
