Default Passenger side Rear door..will it ever open agan?!

Well incase u dont know this door wont open at all
Hasnt for a few years according to the PO.
Ive removed the door panel, and tried to mess around with the latch assembly to no avail.
I even removed the door bolts and shook the crap outta the door..still no luck.
BUT now Jason suggested I try taking a dremel with a small cut off on the end of it to maul the hell out of it to see if i could get it to work. My question being, if your looking inside the door at the latch assembly, what exactly is that black box partially covering it? Because I will end up having to grind that off as well to get to the inner workings of the door latch.
any ideas, suggestions or answers would be greatly appricated!

Maybe you could cut the slider or mechanism that actually locks as well?

Could have the child safety thingy engaged, and the door lock broken. Had that happen on a Corsica I used to have. Had to go in manually, find the latch, and pry it open that way. DOn't know what it looks like inside a Bonne, though. I can check and see if it'* in my shop manual when I get home.

But, on the corsica, it was way bach by where the door hooks on to the post, and it was a tiny little lever...

I'll hit up my shop manuals when I get home to see if they're any help.

Well not sure if this is any help or not but both my back doors would not open at all. I had to remove the door pannels and open them from inside the door.

It ended up being the locking mechanism was holding the opening bar from the outside handle about halfway open/closed so it was permanently locked. Now that is on the 87-91 version. I was able to play around with the latch inside the door and release it on both doors.

I also had to do this more than once and now that we are driving the car once again adn using the doors it is slowly getting better.

Hmm, but it almost seems like a little white piece inside the mechanism is broken, moves around freely.
