Angel Eyes

Well, I just noticed that one of my fog lights went out. So, i want to get some angel eyes to replace them. Where can i get some? How easy to install are they? Are they worth the money? Will i be able to use them as an actual fog light (like the stockers)? I would appreciate it if you would let me know about some of this stuff. Oh, and if somebody could give me a link to some pics of their own.

they are better than the stockers b/c you can use a 55 H3 bulb in them. they are pretty simple to install you can use the existing wires form the fogs and use the existing switch. you will need to get a wire into the car to control the LED rings or just power then of your parking lights. you car get them off the internet or any Pepboys. They are worth the money beacuse they have a glass lens and not plastic like the stock

pics you ask..... im getting my new camera tonight........ pics i will post 8)

Great. I would like to add a switch to turn the Rings on and off. Will I have to run extra wire into the car and mount a switch somewhere? How do i run the wire into the cabin, how much extra wire will i need (what kind). I need a "complete how-to" i guess. This will be my first time doing this.

ok here is goes. You will need to find a power source first. I would recommend a source that is only on when the Ignition is on ( so you dont leave them on by accident)

any gague wire is ok (16-12 ) you can run the wire through the firewall right by the drivers side strut tower. There is a grommet where the hood release cable runs thruogh. I have 4 wires going through there so there is pleanty of room there. It is a tight spot though, what a adventure

the power wire goes to the switch and another wire to the lights

any more questions PM me or Callawaypro on AIM

The wiring harness that's supplied will work fine! It actually has the correct current for each lighting as well. You could trigger it with the stock fog leads if you wanted, and run a single switch for the LEDs.

I am planning on this if i get my bonneville running or if I get a new one. I picked up a second Fog light switch at the junkyard and sunroof control panel so I am going to try and mount the second switch symetrically with the original fog light switch. Atleast that is the plan right now.

Here's a step-by-step installation that Merlin posted in Dec. 2003. The pics are gone, but maybe he'll repost them if you ask nicely. There is some other discussion on the lights as well, which seem to run between $50-65 depending on whether you buy online or retail:

*Edit... here's another link, that still has installation photos up. Gotta love that BC "Search" feature.
