I just got back from test driving a 93 SE for a buddy. Insurance totalled his truck and he'* getting $2-2.5K, He'* also got $1200 himself to spend. He'* wanted a BVille for about 8 months now, We've been keeping an eye out and he just got the news that they're totaling the truck, Here'* some facts about the car:

93 SE
143,704 miles
Very very clean
FE1 suspension
Deluxe Trim
Floor shift
Twilight Sentinal
Tires like new
New struts
Best brakes I've ever felt in a BVille
Faster than my car ATM
Very smooth shifting
Missing cigarette lighter
Grey paint, grey cloth
Small dent above PS taillight
Three dings
DS foglight missing, PS cracked
Same rims as mine
Remote Keyless Entry
Oil and tranny fluid look good
Cassette W/ EQ, which doesn't really matter. His system fron the truck is all the right sizes.

Overall the car looks like my grandmother drove it. It'* got a history code stored, Don't know what it is yet. They're asking $2950 for the car, But that seems high to me. What do you guys think?

Get 'em down at least $500. Sounds like an SLE package. Don't let them know you know that if so. Use the history code, WHATEVER it is to deal down.

I also think to high. Stress the negative points to them, and that its a 11 year old car.

You can find better.
And nope it'* not a SLE with the cloth interior.
You should be able to find a 1994/95 with slightly lower miles for the same price. Try www.carsoup.com or www.autotrader.com or www.cars.com, and any local advertising magazine'*. You'll want to buy from a private party to get your money'* worth unless you can find one really cheap at a car dealer that mostly deals with new/slightly used luxury cars.

I would not pay $3k for an SE, of 11 years of age. Waaay overpriced. Kbb quote:

Now i'm gonna hear it...

I paid 3900 for my SLE packaged car. 106,000 miles less then 1k on snow, and nearly all freeway/country highway roads.

Worth it? Sure. All sheet metal is perfect, interior is great, and the motor is as good as ever, and i don't think i got ripped off at all.

KBB on mine? 3800-4100.

We've seriously looked at just about every dealer within an hour, The only other bonneville is a 96 SSE, but they want $6K and there'* about 20 things broken. He'* been watching the paper for a while, there'* a 98 "SSI" we're going to go look at tommorrow, but the 93 is the best bet. Seriously, I've seen about 20 bonne'* in the last three years in this area. They're either crappy, expensive or not for sale... That and i searched on everyone of those sites just now, No bonnevilles in the 75501 or the 71854.
