I do have one question though. with the seafoam, do I do it BEFORE I change the oil, or AFTER? also, what vacuum line do I suck it up with... I did some searching and came up with evap caniser line and trans modulator line. does it matter what one?

also I have seen people say leave it set for 20 minutes and people say set for 3 hours.... how long?

last thing.... is it MANDITORY that I change out my plugs? they are only like 2 months old, and I didn't pick up any new ones. will I be ok leaving those in there?

I do it before an oil change, use the brake booster line, let it sit 20 minutes. Plugs are so -so. Sometimes they get fouled, often they don't

I've never done a s/c 3800 thou. so not 100% on which line to use in this situation.

the break boost line is the one to use ;)

Is there four quarts in one jug? Damn, I can't even remember basic liquid measurement...

But they nice goodies!

Hmm, I don't know about you, but I haven't heard to many good things about Bosch oil filters (Purolator = Bosch)... I usually go with Mobil 1 (worth the extra IMO)

Yes, four quarts in that jug.

I am not all too worried about the oil filter. I have never had a problem with ANY filter before, plus I just removed a "stock size" Bosch filter, and installed the 4.3 liter size filter.

I used up the seafoam and changed the oil.... boy the car is one super happy camper now  Idles MUCH smoother and has WAY WAY better throttle response. now I just need to actually take the TB off and clean it up 8)

CJCroel 09-01-2007 12:24 AM

Hahaha, Hey Ryan...

I've got my TB off now, waiting for it to dry...I'm out in the garage cruisin' BC...

watch out for those IAC screws, I broke both off, had to tap & die new ones in...

I bought some seafoam too...I'm gonna do that tonight, I plan on staying up pretty late, I want to do it when the neighbors won't notice

At this rate, we're gonna have the fastest cars at the meet! (as for me, probably not!!)
