97 Bonneville SSEi VS 97 Park Ave Ultra
 

Ok, couple questions about swapping parts between these two vehicles and what's the same.

My mechanic got a 97 Bonneville SSEi from a customer who had the motor and everything (including subframe and suspension) dropped to use in a custom application (I believe he said a fiero.) The guy gave him the title to the car and said he could have it if be wanted, or he could junk it.

He just happened to have another customer trade in a 97 Park Ave ultra with higher miles, but major rust in the rear quarter for one of the cars he was selling.

What I am wondering, is if I can buy both cars from him for relatively cheap, what else would I need to get to put the Park ave setup into the bonneville?

Are the subframes and suspension in the front the same?

Does the 97 PA have the 4T65e-HD?

Will the firewall connector connect without an issue?

I know that I'll have to add the sensor and wire for the boost gauge, but is there anything else I'll need to change?

Also, if I do need to get a new suspension, will the park ave axles work with the bonneville hubs, or will I need to locate those?

The front suspension on the park avenue is a G-body suspension. I think you are going to run into issues here.

Also the 97 park avenue does coem with the 4t65E-HD.

OK, so the suspension did change then. Do you know if the axles are the same or not? Or even the subframe?

online the cv axles are the same.
and the engine and trans mounts are the same part numbers.

as to the harness, i can say that a 92 bonne firewall harness is the same as my 92 p/a. but im not certain if the 97s would be. i would assume so, but you know what they say about assuming.

and thats where i get confused about the p/a being a g body. cuz i thought the aurora and rivieras were g bodies. and the p/a still c body.

You will need the 91-96 C-Body, or 92-99 H-Body crossmember and suspension.
Another item you will need is the torque axis/passenger side motor mount.
You will also need to get a SSEi wiring harness, and PCM to match. Probably more too.
How about the coolers -you will definitely need the coolers out of a LSS, SSEi or supercharged 96 Park Ave.

PA became a G-body in 97. LeSabre and Bonnie got the same platform in 2000, but kept the H-body designation and the H in the VIN. Basically, same suspension, slightly different engine mounts, PA is slightly longer both in wheelbase and overall.


Anyway, the PAU shares the L67 and 4T65E-HD, no difference there, but the body, subframe, mounts, and suspension are completely incompatible. Axles might be the same, IDK. I believe your 97SSEi PCM will run it just fine, but I'm not sure if the engine harness is plug-n-play.
There may be small differences up top, because the PAU never had a boost gauge.

The subframe, mounts, axles, shocks, etc., should be easily obtainable from a JY.

according to the vin (4th char), this 97 pa is still a c body
