you might notice it run ever so slightly smoother with a ever so slight gain in power
mostly youll clean your engine a bit and burn your hard earned money worthlessly (and literally)
but an expert could and should explain better.

You'll probalby lose performance. Higher octane gas burns slower (which is why it helps in cars with higher combustion chamber temps because it doesn't pre-detonate as easily), so therefore, if you don't need it to prevent pre-detonation, it isn't gonna do anything better for you. You will probably notice a slight MPG gain, but it won't come close to making up the price difference.

Yes, I agree. A little more octane does clean up your engine a little though.
I've also heard that it wears out your engine a little faster due to more combustion.
Higher and Low octane have their positives and negatives.

An octane is eight carbon atoms linked together to form the gasoline molecule . The higher the number the more octanes that are linked together which provides more surfaces on the molecule that can ignite upon detonation. Which means more power but more heat as well. Be careful it is possible to start the piston to melt but at 105 octane I doubt it. Now 120 octane is a different story.
