MINNESOTA LOCALS READ!!!!
I'm asking for everyone in MN or who wants to make the drive to have a meet the first week of august. I think a park would be great followed by some cruising around town, that park with the giant spoon and cherry is kinda neat, and we could go there. Then we could drive around the lakes or something, and town etc. Anyone willing to add input or whatever post, or leave your comments. I'd like to see a big turnout, like 10+ people... maybe start an official club. I could make up a website, if we got some dues or money we could have some nice stickers, etc...

I know MN Club GP just had a meet here in Mankato on July 7th. They had it at Mankato Oil and Tire(thats where I go to get a lot of stuff done). I talked to the guys who run the place and it sounds like they had a blast.

Generally pretty busy schedule for me, but I'd like to try and get our car out and get to meet some of you other MN people. I'll keep an eye on this topic and see what develops. I'd pretty much only have a chance to go if it were somewhere in the Twin Cities area.

the big cherry with the spoon is right by my school! I go to dunwoody, which is right across the street. not sure if the 9th would work for me, cuz i might have some required OT at work (Lakefront Days). I'll post back when I know for sure.

August 9th would be a no-go for me. My little brother get'* married to my ex-fiancee'* younger sister and I am supposed to be the Best Man and walk down the aisle with the Maid of Honor, my ewww- I mean ex. I just have to remember to have a can of Lysol in my pocket so when she lets go of my arm I can douse the germs off. Now that I think of it maybe this would be a good excuse to cover for not wanting to have her anywhere around me, but then again, I couldn't do that to my brother, and his fiancee is a mucher nicer person than my ex.
I was thinking of the following weekend. We could meet at Lake Calhoun or something.
I too agree, we should have at least 10 cars there. For as many 3800 cars were made it should be easy. The first year my brother'* and I had a Shelby Dodge show (way up here in Sauk Centre mind you, we had almost 25 cars, some coming from as far north as Fargo, ND, and some as far a Somerset, WI. Although this club has enthusiasm to watch it doesn't seem to have the get -ff your as and do something, but then again there are alot of younger people here who aren't financially secure, whereas in the SD club most of the members were financially secure guys in their early 20'* and surprisingly quite a few guys in their mid 40'* and even a couple as old as 60 (the older guys usually had the pristine examples, and the serious race machines).
Anyhow anything but August 9th for me.
