Default Catalytic converter lifespan?

Ok.......How long should a stock cat last?
I'm trying to justify the dollars to change over to a high flow..... :P
(I'm "cheap".....you see)
I just turned over 26k on the car.
Thanks

25K. Does that help?

Ok, not really. Mine failed at 70k, but the car was stored for 5 years in Oregon, and I think the wet winter air (even in a garage) contributed to mine.
