hey one of my friends has a 83 monte carlo no ss and i tried to look up what kinda engine they have on the internet with no sucess, he says he wants to race me but im not sure somebody told me that its not that fast bc of gas restrictions or something...? what am i up against?

From what I can find the car has 175 horse and weighs alot more then yours... You will kill this thing.

BonneMeMN 06-19-2003 01:12 AM

i agree, although the ones with V8s have some nice pull..

Muslimsteel 06-19-2003 09:01 AM

yea he says that its a v8 305(i think thats cubic inches)

95BonnevilleSESC 06-19-2003 11:14 AM

Right you are. That is a 305 cid (cubic inch displacement). Ours is 3800 cubic centimeters or 3.8 liters (231 cid)

Allmachtige 06-19-2003 12:57 PM

305's are sad. If he dropped in a nice 350 though, thats another story. 8)
