Default Dirty Transmission Fluid

I decided to wait and drop my pan and do a filter change, first I wanted to suction out a few quarts through the dipstick, and replace it with new fluid.
I'll drive it for a good bit, then I'll drop the pan, inspect the magnet, and fill it back up, that way I get mostly new fluid, but not close to 100% new fluid like you would with a full flush.
If the fluid was in better shape I'd consider a full flush, but this crap was dirty as hell.
Lucky it does not seem burnt, but it has been in there since the car was made for sure.
The transmission had around a quart and a half too much fluid, I got out like 7 quarts, and put back 5.5 quarts, along with a 10oz bottle of lubeguard additive.
So far it looks like transmission fluid temps have dropped around 25F to 30F.
I have yet to drive it, but will see how it does here in a bit.

I used a 2oz syringe, some aquarium tubing, and a hard piece of plastic that came with a cheap pump I bought to use a while back, it was terrible.
Funny I don't see the hard plastic piece with the pump I had it on, maybe I salvaged it from somewhere else.

I used a little rescue tape to seal the hard plastic hose to the aquarium tubing, and it all worked surprisingly well.

That trans fluid jug looks dirty for sure there William.
IDK how much longer I would wait before wanting to do a pan drop w/filter.
Then I would feel good about knowing I got clean DEX6 in there and ready to go for the long haul.
Besides, your transmission will say "Thank You"

I put almost 6 quarts of Mobil 1 Synthetic in there, once it mixes good I'll work on the pan drop.
