1998 Bonneville SE with 87K miles on it. Changed the ater pump today and it was a good job. The power steering pump removal and replacement was fun to get to the covered up bolt on the water pump. I cannot believe GM designed this engine with the coolant flow going thru the belt tensioner. The black 90 coming out of the intake manifold to me was a very poor design. The plenum issues was a horrible design by GM.

The new water pump kit came with a composite gasket that was made out of aluminum with a rubber gasket going around the inside. This gasket is funky as I have never seen one like it. I did use some RTV lightly on it and no leaks

The elbows are not the best, but when installed right they work well. There'* a few tricks to getting to bolts, once you know them, it'* easier.
