Olds Intrigue 98 - PCM problem?
Folks, need your help:
My olds running 3,000 idle RMP when just started.
The Check Engine code suggested low Throttle Sensor input.
Indeed the signal voltage is low.
The circuit is tested and seems right (no open or short to ground); looks like PCM doesn't send the signal. My thinking:
1) PCM is broken, but before spending $ to replace it, may be
2) one/some PCM grounds or power terminals are short/open?
Now, stupid questions:
* How to test PCM power and terminals?
I need ignition on and PCM harness connected, now no way to get to the wires on it.
* I hate to buy a new PCM unless I have to: How else can I check if PCM is working?
