all in all the pan was clean no chunks, no metal. The fluid was oxidized but other than that i dont think that it was bad for 97K.

I also added a Adjustable Vac Modulator to the trans

The fluid that came out and the pan itself looked alot better than mine did at 78,000 miles.
Not bad at all...
The adjustable modulator idea..be very carefull in adjusting that, your OEM reverse reactor shell can hardly take how hard it engages from park to reverse or drive to reverse as it is, as this is a common item to wear or simply crack....chances are your clutches are up to the task of firmer shifting, but they're getting old now..you know that though..dont over crank that puppy and you should be good to go!

Looks good Pat.

I'd say go with the modulator. The first thing to go on the 60'* is the 2nd gear clutches. A quicker shift can prolong their life. Just wait a couple minutes idling on cold days to prevent reverse damage before shifting.

for the Reverse issues, i always back in to my spot so i really never use reverse when the car is cold

i have not played with the modulator, i put it in with the stock settings, i may firm it just a touch

ok so i played with the Adjustable Vac modulator....it was set to super soft shifts

so i went out for a drive today and played with it a little.....adjusted it, drove it, adjusted it, drove it......

its Amazing now. the 1-2 shift is very firm at all speeds and the 2-3 is much, much more noticable now...i love it
