Heated seats are the only option my car dosen't have, it was just such a good deal and with very low miles so I bought it. Now it'* cold and I'm missing my Aurora wich had heated seats. Think I've spolied myself witrh nice cars by the age of 22 and I've started looking into how much it would cost to hook up heated seats now in my 01 ssei.

Option 1-dealer install --Most expensive, middle consule, switches and heater elements was like $600 in parts plus labor, so $8-900ish.

2) Do it myself, found heated set kits for both seats for around $250 ish. Than I'd install this myself. Not to sure about me cutting me seats up, I'm no Tailor. I'm Taylor. Lot'* of jokes when i was younger, when'* my suit ready?

3) Stoped at a custom interior shop and they wanted $300 per seat so $600 total for a better than GM element, 2-way HI/low and butt and back pads. also 3yr 36K warrenty.

Thinking option 3 is the best, might shop around to see what other shops have to offer. Doing it myself is not really an option. The custom shop said that the seats need to come out so they can do it the right way. I don't want to take out my seats. Also asked, since the seats are out can I/you Dynamat my floor boards since the seats are coming out and take some pictures? They said no problem. This will help quite my ride down even more, good bye road noise and hello warm buns!

Yep...its a good buy, 99 clams per, or you can get a remote starter and preheat the car for about the same price.

I'm getting the best of both worlds, as Taylor mentioned the Aurora has em, and I'm shopping for a remote starter

How hard do you think it is to hook up those PFYC heated seat kits? Gotta take the seats out? What seams should I cut and what to use to sew them togther, anything special?
Those questions are whats holding me back. The element on those looks kinda small though, the interior shop showed me some bigger ones and they use a bigger one for the back part of the seat.
Can you tell I'm not to excited about installing these myself.
Also remote starter is on my pre-winter list, want the 2 way pager alarm kind with the small LCD clicker. A C-YA racing LSD is also on the list!

Hmm. ive thought of it, but sence my trofeo is shitting out on me... I might have to do an engine rebuild on her this winter... and buy a 95 riv/sc (found one for 11,000) so it could have to be my ''winter beater'' and in the spring give it to the buick dealership for 8... then onto a family car :?

My new truck has 4stage (high- back) (low-buns/med-buns/high-buns)
My old truck has LT silverado seats with just a 2 stage...low/high

I installed the ones from pfyc.com. You don't actually have to "cut" the seat. next time you have a chance reach your hand down between the back and the base of your seat. You should notice a plastic joint in the middle of it. You can pull apart these joints and roll up the seating surface. Once the elements are in you just roll it back down and relatch it.

I was leary at first to for the same reason but it'* not as bad as you'd think since you actually don't have to do any upholstering in the context that you're thinking.

If you go look at boseman'* website he has a step by step guide (designed around the 92-99 years but you'll get the jist of it).
