2004 Bonneville color Crimson Tintcoat Question

Does anyone know why it is an extra cost option? Is the paint applied is a multi step layering or is Pontiac charging more because they can? :bouncingsmiles:

It's not a base option, therefore it's $$$

I saw a white SLE @ the autoshow, it was yellow On some angles? Is this it?

Jason:
No that is the White-Gold Tricoat, another extra cost option paint. If you order the SLE Premier edition the White-Gold Tricoat and the Crimson Tintcoat are basically at no extra cost. There is a SLE Special Edition Bonneville which has all of the options as the Premier Edition but does not have the extra cost paint. Both the Premier Edition and the Special Edition cost the same.

I am getting ready to purchase a SLE and trying to decide between the Crimson Tintcoat or Black. My current Bonneville is 9 years old and 190,000. It is a good car but I need to replace it with a more modern car. So far the Bonneville is winning out as the replacement. I would like to purchase a GXP but for an extra 5K it is not worth it to me. Both have reliable engines and the styling is there. But hey I am an old fart, 54, I am sure the younger guys think the Bonneville is an older persons car

im 16 and i love em! The 3.8 will have plenty of power to get your heart beatin. I can tell a difference between our two cars and they are only 3 years apart, it will probably be night and day for you.

I'm 20, I was looking for a bonneville, cause it's classic

The White Tri coat was AMAZING. Can't imagine it outside. I'd say get the special tintcoat over the black, special paints are the BOMB.

Thanks Guys, I am going with the Crimson Tintcoat. Nice shade of red and the better half likes the color. A definite plus.

I will probably have the new car by the end of next week. I am excited woo hoo my first new car in 9 years.
