Default Santa Clause came a little early this year.

Yep, he came early this year. It all came in 3 big boxes. This is going to be my project for the winter down in the basement when I need to get away.

Cylinder heads
Lower intake manifold
Supercharger
Throttlebody
All the */C accessory pulley'*.
Coil packs/ICM
Valve covers
Push rods, sensors, the list goes on...
Basically everything external the engine block. Now that I think about it, all that I need to complete an engine now is a L67 or L36 block.

So what to do with the parts I have now? Right now, I'm thinking of porting and polishing the cylinder heads, LIM and the supercharger. Probably upgrade the rockers, springs and get a bigger cam shaft. Upgrade the front exhaust manifold when I do go and put everything on.

What'* that you say? Don't I already have a complete L67 installed and running? Yep, but why take 1 of my 3 vehicles off the road for a winter long project when I can just get the parts I want to mod and take my time and shoot pictures this TIME!

I shot a couple pics for now. I might start work on this project next weekend.(which is a 3 day weekend for me)

Find a L26, it'* newer, and the prices are much lower. I think I got my short block L26 with under 30k miles for $300

If I can find one at my junkyard, I can get a fully dressed engine for $175. But, that'* not in the project plans as of yet.

Once I'm finished with the heads, LIM and */C, I'm going to swap them out with the ones that are currently installed.

Now if you could, tell me the difference between an L67 block and a L26 block?

Gezz, the salvage yards want $1200 plus a core charge for a L67. The L26 is basically the same as the L36, just newer.

When I got my L67 this past spring, I paid $195 for it. They base it off of how many 3800'* are in the yard. Last 2 times, I walked out with a short-block for $50 each time.

If I had the time, patience, and shop space, I could rebuild a 3800 and have it install ready in a week for about $300 each. But, I'm not gifted with a dual bay garage like someone people around here.

I love projects like this, so I'll be following the thread!

I cleaned up/knocked down some of the roughness from the sand casting in my LIM'* runners, and opened each one up to 1.9 x.9 like they were supposed to be, I'd really have loved to do more like you are, but I do not even have a garage where I live now, so it is hard to do as much as I'd like to.
We need to go take over, ooops I mean visit Dan'* garage!!!

I agree, Dan does have a spacious 3 bay garage to play in. But its not heated, so dress warm!
