The Bonneville - soon to be passed on to its new owner
The time has come when I can no longer cope with the gas mileage, the weak interior build quality or the governed top speed of 105 on my 93 SE. So it has to go. What will be next? I haven't decided yet, but I have decided this:
1. It will be smaller
2. It will be as fast or better
3. It will handle MUCH better
4. The interior will not creak when the car accelerates
Let me just say that I live in an area where a car like this one is just insane. We have all these winds (that winds, not winds) and hills and sharp turns. I've learned to handle the Bonne, but the day will come when I will kill myself in the thing, so...
Help me decide! What'* the next car?

Im sorry to hear that you need to move on... A few suspension upgrades coulda helped you a bit but the gas milage is hard to improve on. (That is if your O2 sensor isnt bad) But anywho ive got a 1975 MGB for ya that gets 30 MPG and is quite sporty! The lack of power steering can give you a workout but your much more connected to the road!
But ill bet your chances of getting killed would be doubled in any car smaller than a Bonne
Still i understand.
Pontiac GTP? Supercharged excitement and a bit smaller car.. but probably similar gas usage :?

This is an easy answer.. If you got the money, an Acura TL is hard to beat. Extremely well built, powerful and has gas mileage. Smaller than the Bonny though. Consumer Reports gave it the top honor. Go to the Acura website and look at the presentation. It is expensive but has incredible resale value.
Why? That takes all the fun out of shooping for a car...

First off, the price range is 15,000 - 19,000.
Most Pontiacs would be too large, even the GTO.
