Default Difference between "warranty" & customer 'cont

If I may explain.

Recently it was necessary for me to have the infamous UIM/LIM EGR stove pipe and gasket work done on my wife'* '97 LeSaber. Series II 3800 engine.

The removed UIM was dated [stamped] > 5/23/03.

The new one was dated [stamped] > 6/29/06.

Upon asking about the 5/23/03 UIM, the only work printout I was able to get was for the 'contracted' work my wife had performed on the car.
Nowhere on the list, was any work for the installation of the 5/23/03 UIM. :?

Question: Is there such a thing as a printout of any "Warranty" work performed on the car, and if there is, is that what one asks for. >>>>> [ A Warranty Work Printout ] ??

Secondly, if such work was performed, sometime after the 5/23/03 date, is this type of work usually told to the customer .. :?:

In advance, thank you for any time spent on this inquiry.

if the work was performed at the dealer, they will have a service record of the car, with the Date and the Milage, and the work that was done on the car

Thank you.

However, is such work [ recall and/or warranty ] listed differently.

The printout I received had listed only the contracted work, which did not reflect any indication of replacing the UIM action,
which had the 5/23/03 date stamped on it :?

Try to find somebody nice at a GM dealership to help you out and give them your VIN. With that they can print out every warranty and recall job that was ever done on that car. I'd do it for you, but I've been getting serious **** for using our stuff outside of work lately. :P Just call your dealer.

When did you buy the car?
Its possible the dealer did the job as prep work for reselling it and it wouldn't show if they ate the cost.

It'* pointless to debate. Anyone can buy a GM UIM and install it in their garage.

This isn't a mechanical issue. Moved to General Chat.

Yes, this is called a GMVIS report. If you have not already received one from your dealer, I would be happy to provide it for you. Just need your VIN.
