? for 1992 SSEi owners

does the supercharged 1992 ssei come with a HUD like earlier models? (displays mph on windshield) and could someone tell me some options a 92 has that newer ones dont looking to buy one :D thanks

harofreak00 04-08-2006 01:33 PM

yes they have it...

there is not going to be anything super cool that a 92 has over the newer styles...

92 was the only year that offered the 2 tone interior i think?

The only reason a supercharged bonne would not have a hud would be if the car was ordered with the hud option deleted or a SE, SLE, or an SSE trim package special ordered with the Supercharger. I'm not positive how many of those options of the trim level that you could actually special order with the S/C and not get all the gadgets.

92 has a wood-grained dashboard overlay. Slightly less power than a 93.

All the bells and whistles offered later.

You cannot delete the HUD option from an SSEi.

i thought 92-93 were the exact same and 94-95 were the same, in terms of power.

Incorrectamundo.

I just sent this to Hans via PM when he asked the same question:

Unknown how much. GM never changed the ratings in 93, so we go by 92's numbers.

92 had different heads and a non-roller valvetrain. Also had a different harmonic balancer, lighter drive axles (not heavy duty), some differences in transmission, and a few other odds and ends I don't recall. Oh, different Exhaust Manifolds........different pistons and rings......

The list goes on.

jr's3800 and I have been trying to chase this down for 3 years. We've got quite a few things identified. But the bottom line is that I shouldn't have beaten driverjohn by WELL OVER a full second at Woodburn 2 years ago, considering the fact that I had a transmission going south and he didn't. Our mod differences would dictate a 1/2 second ET difference. Not over a full second.

Most 92's here seem to have less power than the 93's.
