How about those two hot purple SLEs. Man just think of what it would be like if they were in the same town....

Speaking of which here they are, this is a good contrast between the 92-95 Front Fascia Style, and the 96-99 style.

Oh wait, on the 19th they will be again!!! Hey SSESC, wanna use a newer pic of my engine that looks better but has red spark plugs wires, but is VERY clean?

Here is the 92-95 2nd edition grill... (With a lil paint of course)

This is what that series I L27 looks like now...

Also some rare things....

Note the Hood protector, it has SSE on it, only on 92 and 93 i believe.

I wouldn't mind using your engine pic but I do have enough. Thanx though. For the SSE under the hood badging, Jeff's SSE don't have it on his 95?

I would say just edit the new pix to where you have the pic of my engine the day i got it.

I see jeff, jeffs car, but not jeffs car with an SSE logo. It's a shame really, that was a VERY nice touch IMHO.

Ok. I'll get to it. Jeff, were is your engine cover?

BonneMeMN Aug 10, 2003 01:33 AM

His plugs were bad, and had a heavy misfire under load it sounded like. He bugged out on the cruising early on, and i guess he had it off for that. Not a big fan of the series II engine covers myself, i like the series I look personally.

The Series I you posted with a white intake, thats actually a 92 with an aluminum upper manifold...no cracks baby! 8)

ssesc93 Aug 11, 2003 12:15 PM

I was wondering why it was two different colors. What about the series I supercharges, do we have 2 different intakes?

willwren Aug 11, 2003 12:22 PM

We have the lower aluminum intake (not the same one as the NA models) and the SC as an upper. If you wanted to, you could gut the SC, drop the belt to a smaller length, and go NOS or Turbo, while using the SC housing as the upper manifold.

That may be a little restrictive since the air inlet passage on the supercharger is blocking half of the throttle body for the bearing of the rotors. Now I am sure that it could be machined out if you were gutting it anyway.
