1982 Bonneville valve cover?
Well I have a 1982 4.1 L an can't find any place anywhere that has a valve cover. Does anyone know where I can obtain one? Been through Autozone, Advance, O'Reilly, Summit Racing, E-Bay, etc... No one carries. I would really like to obtain atleast a performance one, or original if I have to. Can anyone please help me?

Thanks! Never thought I'd find one. One more question, what determines the engine liter size? Just wondering, cause I have an old 4.3L V6 from an old 86' Bonneville. You think some parts would work with the 82'. I know 82'-86' were roughly same body style inside an out.

displacement = 1/2 bore x 1/2 bore x 3.14159 x stroke x number of cylinders
It is the volume of each cylinder times the number of cyclinders. Bore is the diameter of the cylinder and stroke is the distance of piston travel.
There were 3 engines used from 82 - 86:
3.8 L (231 cu in) Buick V6
5 L (305 cu in) Chevrolet V8
5.7 L (350 cu in) Oldsmoblile diesel V8
There may be some differences from year to year but I would think the major components would be interchangeable. Assuming of course they are both the same size engine. Are you sure you have a 4.3 L?

I know it sounds awkward, but even my running 82' has a 4.1L. Well,...thats what Autozone said using my vin number. A lot of people have been telling me that'* wrong though. So I went to their website an it brings up a 3.8/4.1 for 82' and 3.8/4.3 for 86'. I also checked with wikipedia an yet theirs are what you an everyone else tells me, Be honest I'm not even sure, lol. Is there any chance there could be any markings anywhere on the engine to tell me?
