0-60 and 1/4 mile reference chart

Found a cool website. Check this out:

http://www.angelfire.com/pa3/ford/performance1.htm

Everything from Acura to VW, as the page says. Take some of the data with a grain of salt, I've seen some obvious errors in the Bonnie data.

Not sure where this info comes from, but it's good for a general reference, anyway. 8)

Would anyone be interested in a better version of this 1/4 mile listing? One that possibly was searchable, with CORRECT numbers and with the ability to add you own car to it? Let me know and I will talk to a couple of people about getting it on a website...maybe this one(?). I have already compiled the data on that site (above) into a useable database (took 5 minutes).

I tell ya what

It says my 92 bonny is 8.5 for 0-60 mph, Well i KNOW i been 0-60 in maybe 7-7.5, Ima go see tomorow and I will post my times .. btw I have a 92 SSE

willwren 09-05-2002 02:19 AM

The 92 SSE is listed at 9.5, the SSEi is 8.1, so if you're SC, go with the 8.1. I know I've beat the 8.1 (my '93 SSEi is identical to the '92 as far as I know), but I never checked while I was still stock. Keep in mind, because of the wieght, you'll have to do ALOT of work to get those 0-60 times down, but less work for the 1/4 mile times to improve. Your car was built with long legs.......good luck, and I'm curious to see what your times come in at 8)

just a lil disapointed.....

Well, I came in at 10.5 sec WITH traction control on, and 10.0 sec with traction control off. but see thing is, I had another person in car, few golf bags and all by books from school in car.... so i dont know if all that weight matters much, but I know I got a beast when im rollin at like 45 mph and someone wants a peice of me, then I can 90% beat them terribly. So pretty soon i wanna get a flow-master or a Dyno-max and K&N filter in it, All that together will add bout 20-30hp, How much HP does the Dynomax add to a Bonneville? anyone know???

willwren 09-05-2002 05:42 PM

I've heard a good exhaust will add about 10 hp, or is it 10%? You're right about the rolling starts. These cars, being a little heavy, are hard to get going off the line. Gimme a rolling start, even from 5-10 mph, and I kill 'em almost every time!

I know there is a guy on the Internet who ran his '93 SE at the track for grins and kicks, and ran a 16.4 with it. The funny thing was, the same day he had his 305 3rd-gen Camaro out (the REAL race car) and that could only manage low 17s the same out. :)

try www.car-stats.com

willwren 09-05-2002 10:47 PM

Hey, that's pretty cool, Tam. I'm gonna do some comparisons between the two since work is so slow tonight!

Bonneville_blue 09-09-2002 12:18 AM

maybe a fluke

Well maybe a fluke but I just did a 0-60 in 8.5... that sound like too much BS in a 92' SSE NA??? ima try tomorow again
