Default *sniff sniff* You smell that.

SO I learned something driving down 76 from philly to seven springs ski resort. Don't Cruise set the car to 80. The hills a rolling and don't look steep but uh yeah oops. What do I know I live on the jersey shore where it'* a little flat. Here'* the story

Driving the bonne 230 miles over 76 had the cruise set on 80. Doing good time and the car had no problems. WELL. I noticed mt RPMs creeping up so I started doing a TCC check and they weren't changing I figured it could probably use adjusting for a while. So I kept going. then I notice when I dropped down the 70 the RPM'* shot up to 4000. Trying to hold the panic in my face not to panic my passengers I pulled over. Not moving I could immediately smell the ATF Plugged in my scanner and I felt like a college freshman looking at a positive pregnancy test. To my horror it was up to 278 yes 278. I jumped out of the car and check the ATF a nice toasted tan. and even bubble on the dip stick. So I let it cool down and did the rest of the 20 miles at 70 and watching the TCC slip to keep it minimal. So yeah lesson learn.

It ran pretty well once it cooled down. Just going to change the rancid fluid. I was like a hawk staring at the TCC slip and temp on the way to and from the mountain and on the way home and it looked normal. I have been looking for HD 65'* though

cheap and easy, go get one off a caddy or Bonneville and get the u bend. You'll be done with a stock looking cooler in minutes.
