**** The White Curse!!! Now with a few pics...

bahhh

Went to my friends house to pick him up to give him a ride to school....well anyway i decide to back into his driveway...and there is one of those big blue BFI trash cans at the end of the driveway, so i passed that and turned my wheel all the way and proceeded to back in....i saw his mailboz in the mirror and plenty of space so i keep going....then the front end of the car drops to the ground...and im like ****!....Drive, Reverse, wouldn't move, and im like great...i get out of the car and the left front has gone over the side of the drive and is hanging over the ditch....i walk around the car and the right front is on the ground....both rear tires are on the ground...so im like wth why wont it go....the right fron looked like it was trying to move but it didn't look like it had any power....3 wheels on the ground and the eninge frame thingy (not sure what the proper name is)

anyway, here comes andy, immediatly he starts freaking out "what happend!?!?!" and stuff. im like just look...so he tries bounceing on the rear of the car to lift it a little...nothing....Corey come walking up the road and he starts laughing a little...so now i have both of them on the back of the car...nothing...corey tried to pick the front end up enough to pursueade it to move...which worked...a little, cuz now the car has 3 wheels on the ground and the rocker panel, i have no clue how corey picked it up and moved it back while in drive....then andy goes and gets a bunch of scrap 2x4s and put them under the wheel it kinda worked but wasn't enough, all we maaged was maybe 1/2 and inch and some smoke....anyway a neighbor of mine is leaving for work and stops by and offerd help, and he said he had a tow rope in the back of his Durango, (which he couldn't find) and we didn't know what to hook/tie it to anyway....we tried turning the wheel all the way in bothdirections revers and drive...nothing....so now its been 30 to 45 minutes...Robert desides to back down Andy's driveway and bumper to bumper push me out, im like WHAT? and then im like you know what...if it gets damaged i wont care...i kinda need a new one anyway...so he taps the rear of my car and it budged a bit and i was out...no damage to either of our bumpers...but now the front of the rocker panel is a bit twisted....but not enough to be replaced...it'll go right back...no scratches or anything...well not on the side...its got some scrates on bottom where you cant see....

so definatly no major damage....i wish i had pics...but no camera with me, sorry...

s*** happens...

Pictures i went back out to take....

The PhotoShop'd explanation:(done out of a bit or bordem)
Green = My intended path
Red = actual path
White = Where the BFI Trash Can used to be
Blue = Direction i came from

im glad i know all your friends names now :)

my driving partner when i went to pick up the 95 in ohio did the same thing somewhere in cinncinati

94SSEgold 05-25-2006 09:22 PM

ive done something similar to that before, it sucks and when u really like your car all u do is worry about what kind of damage you have done to it. glad it all worked out for you though. i love you white car, that is my favorite color as far as body color rims and such goes

wjcollier07 05-25-2006 09:32 PM

haha, woah d00d, crazy...

same sorta thing happened when i slid into a hard packed snow drift...and if anyone knows how the front underside of an '89 LE is made, you would know that it scooped the front of the car up when it hit and lifted the car off its LF wheel..so what happens i try to back out...right wheel on the ground...no go...wheel off the ground? spinning...lol...took me and another guy with a shovel to dig the snow out from under the bumper..the guy had a Silverado 3500 but the road was 100% glare ice...hence..bonneville on snow drift lol...glad u got ur car out ok...the damage doesnt look TOO bad...as for mine...well its all cracked and bent under there....u got out easy lol

No more backing into driveways huh?

ga93sle 05-25-2006 09:41 PM

lol nfr, that sucks, man.

SSEimatt93 05-26-2006 01:28 AM

Well it could of been worse, another white Bonny gets hurt..lol
it doesnt look to bad though atleast.

Hans 05-26-2006 01:35 AM

that jack mount saved you.

SSEimatt93 05-26-2006 01:37 AM

Yeah, without that jack mount, you would of torn that skirting off for sure.
Tuff ass unibody design!

BillBoost37 05-26-2006 06:51 AM

Glad it wasn't worse.

S* happens... today was your turn.
