Default Infinite Scrolling

Some of you may have noticed a new thing here on the forum. Infinite scrolling. Instead of the forum having multiple pages for each thread, users no longer have to click onto the next page to continue reading.

I'm wondering what everyone'* opinion is on this.

I think it'* awesome. The only concern would be with the perpetual or stupid long threads, very few of which we have here on a regular basis.

which makes me realize it sounds great for regular users, but may be annoying to a visitor bounced in on a search possibly.

What does give me pause however is the related thread loading in automatically at the bottom with the quick reply box down there for that thread as well, it'* a great opportunity for a necrobump to happen, especially if I am not paying attention

I say: Meh

I can see a couple of advantages, but also see at least as many downsides.

I suppose I'll get used to it though, just like the proportionally-spaced text that arrived a couple of months ago.
