Default Editing a post?

Hello Everyone,

Is there a way to edit a thread item once it has been posted? - I could not find any tools/buttons for that. (It could be just my ignorance!)
It would help in correcting minor mistakes in a posting.
Somehow that happens to me all the time

Thanks, Peter

You can edit a post for five minutes after it has posted. After that, the [Edit] feature is removed. This allows correction of mistakes while removing the ability to change history for the crafty ones out there.

This is a test of the 5 minute edit feature. I've looked for it in the past and never found it. I will try again as soon as I submit this reply. If it works I will delete this.

OK, I think I know where I missed it. The edit feature is only available to the OP on their original post, is that right?

Correct. You can only edit your post for up to five minutes after it is created.

Also good to know: If you click [Edit] before five minutes has elapsed and then attempt to save after five minutes has elapsed, you will not be able to save your changes.

That worked. Weird, because it wouldn't let me yesterday. After clicking [Save] it would just spin forever.

You have the ability to edit anyway, you're a Moderator.

CC- The spinning circle generally happens because of either server lag, poor internet wi-fi or even service provider issues.
Let it spin (try to work) for a longer period to see if it resolves, or refresh your browser & try again
There has been some internet/ telecom issues the last few days.
