Club track day

As I was reading the WCBF threads, I had the idea of designating one weekend this summer where everyone on the board makes a conscious effort to go racing (mainly drag racing, but hey, thats shouldn't stop someone from running at laguna seca). I know this kind of is part of the coastal fests (as well as CEBF), but I think it would be cool for a coast to coast Bonne race weekend. If nothing else it may give someone the incentive to try racing for the first time and get them hooked.

Thoughts?

Track schedules will also make it very difficult.

How so? Going to a test 'n tune as a group wouldn't make the track overs flinch one bit. I don't mean one giant meet, but everyone circling one weekend on the calender, and going to the track. Go as a group of club members, just go with some friends from home, or even just go alone. I look at it as just another way to meet up with more bonnie folk, or an excuse to go back to the track, or even try it out for the first time. And I'm sure there is a tent 'n tune within 100 miles during the weekend from everyone here (except perhaps out Alaskan folk, or Canadians).

Does this make more sense?
