I was thinking, how about taking all the COTM winners and in the winter, say in December, have them ***** it again then we could vote for the Car of the Year. I know there'* rules for past COTM winning again, that would go for COTY. Thoughts?

What about the past COTM winners?? How would they "play" into the grand plan??

Some of the winners from 2004 and 2005 aren't around anymore and how would winners be chosen for those years or would we just be left out??????

My thoughts would be starting fresh, if this idea does move forward, the COTM starting January 2006 all to Dec 2006 will qualify, the past COTM will not qualify becaues they didn't win any month of 2006. But once the past COTM winners' 3 years are up, they do qualify IF they win again.

I see your point. My thought as stated before would be when their "non-qualification" time is up (3 years I think?) they do qualify to run for COTM again, if they do win COTM they do qualify for COTY. I don't know, I haven't thought about the past COTM winners.

Lets see if the idea of COTY flies first with the admins/mods.

who cares.... we have to start somewhere, people are always left out of things. i think its even more unfair that you were picked COTM by the mods and not by a general consesus of the members

If we have to start somewhere, we should simply go back and do 04, then 05, then wait and do 06 in January of next year. Determine the 'past winners' first.
