what can be done about the growing problem of Bots signing up on here, and advertizing their russian porn sites etc... the memberlist keep growing, but only maybe 10% or new members are legit

I am on here most of the day... I could delete all the bots as they sign up. Admins? Up for it?

you have to check you email and put in a code befor you can sing in...

We have that feature, including an image of characters to type in for confirmation.

They're still getting in. Find a way to keep them out, they find a way to get in. It's a constant battle.

Look at the memberlist all you want, Toasty. We leave them there as space-fillers so they can't automatically re-create the same profile again.

We're quite good at dealing with these. Nobody can keep them out all the time. NOBODY. We do pretty damn well though. And we're doing what we can.

yeah but do you have to Copy text from the email and past it into th e forums?

I thought all you have to do is click on a link in your email...

mine doesn;t work that way.. yo have to copy a Key from your email then o back to the site and past t in when you log in.

They can find ways around everything, and I know, my friend experiences this all the time with his forum, and nothing worked.
