BC 2 go?
 

i have noticed that, in my browsing of the forum with my phone, it seems kinda stupid having to scroll through crap. perhaps we can have it set up so that someone that regularly surfs on a phone, has the option to view a version of bc that has very little formatting. you know, something like this:


<home page>
Forum title <no description>
Forum title
etc,

and on the forum:

title,posted by
title,posted by
etc

and on the thread itself.

Thread subject
<posted by>
post
<divider>
***next post**
author,
post.
etc


basically, it would have just the bulk of the page with the post. this i think should be setup so that a bc veteran could use it easily, because he already knows what everything is, so no descriptions would really be needed. the format could perhaps be setup so that either the page does an autodetect of the browser info, or you could set it up through preferances.

But yes it is possible, but a lot of code will have to be written, probably hundreds of hours worth of work, as you would have to edit just about every PHP file for the forum software. when you edit php files there are css files and other files that link in....yeah fun project

We've had this request before, and I can tell you that the answer is still no. I resist the urge to use my phone or iPaq and wait for a 'big screen'.

There will be no "BC lite".

Just the same, keep the suggestions flowing. It is a good idea, we just don't have the resources.
