I've decided to pull the sc not willing to gamble with that peice of plastic( see my last post).
I notice that there is a fare amount of play when I move the pulley back and forth, from what I've read this the coupler.
I have to remove the nose anyway so I was going to change it, where can I buy one?
Is the aftermarket better or the dealer? I'm not concerned about cost just want the best.
Is this the gasket between the sc and intake famous for failing or the one between the intake and head? Should I change these gaskets as well?
I have the GM service manuals and I notice it does not say to drain the coolant is this right?
I know its alot of questions but anyones help is much appreciated.

You can't get it from the dealer. They don't sell it. Use one of the 3 vendors listed above.
92-95 L67'* aren't famouse for this at all. We don't use Dex-cool. But if you're over 100k miles, it'* a good idea to do it.
I don't drain the coolant. Not much spills.

You'll need a coupler, SC outlet gasket, 2 yellow o-rings, TB gasket, 4-piece LIM gaskets, some RTV to seal the LIM gasket corners, and some red gasket maker to re-seal the SC.

You'll find part numbers and sources for all these things in the Forced Induction section by using search.

I ended up buying the gasket and O rings at the dealer, wow those O rings were almost as much as the gasket go figure. I think all I'm going to do is the sc, I only have 100,000km on the engine and I've faithfully had the cooling system flushed every 2 years.
I think I'll order the coupler from zz perf. I tried calling them but there number is not working so I sent them a email.

Looking at your posts I can say that in the past year I have ordered two coupler kits from an ebay vendor and he guarantee'* his couplers for life. The kit comes with everything you need to do the job as well as instructions.

I guess the kits that I have purchased from him are mostly GM parts so I've had good luck. Next time I will use the link that you have suggested and look further into the forum to see what these other guys have done in the past.

You should be fine. Just don't buy a SC from either of them. And it never hurts to ask a seemingly simple question, either.

So far so good, I waited untill I received the coupler from ZZ Performance, then I started the disassembly. The only question I have is in regards to the type of sealant used on the nose peice, I read its locktite 512 is this a RTV or thread locker? I did purchase high temp sensor safe RTV should I use this?
