SC flush question...
Do you really have to jack up the engine? I don't have one and don't have an even surface to put one on anywho. Is this really necessary??

The reason you need to jack it up is to get all the fluid to where you can suck it out. If the car remains level you can't get at it all. You can probably get the same effect by parking your car on a slope so the plug is lower than the rest of the SC.

Yup, there is a plug at the base of the SC nose cone. There is some speacial oil in there to keep the internal gears lubbed up. This oil should be checked frequently and changed as needed.
The oil plig is a small black plug with an allen head type head on it. The oil can be picked up at any GM dealership for a couple bux.

I just did mine again this weekend. Does anyone know what the fluid capacity for the Eaton M62? I drained it all the way out with jack up on drivers side and it only took one of those little squirt bottles worth of new fluid. (The little OEM bottle that GM sells, for like 8 bucks a pint i think).
Oh yeah, do they make some type of suction/ciphoning device for the garage? SC oil tastes nasty! The wife wouldnt let me use her Pampered Chef Turkey Baster.

You should have just bought a large syringe from a feed store or pharmacy!
1/4" tubing will fit right into it. Your capacity is right. That'* a small little gearbox.
Just check the level this weekend to be sure. Right to the bottom edge of the threads.

whats a feed store? like Burger King? j/k i dont live TOO far from the country. i believe 1/4 tubing is what i used, it just fits. Just didnt have anything to suck out the juice!
I'm gonna change it again next weekend. (This time i'm getting a syringe!!)I bought 4 pints of that SC oil thinking that it took 2 to fill it up. I was going use your suggestion of flushing it twice for good measure.
