Supercharger oil?
What kind of oil can you use besides the gm oil at the dealership? I have heard of Mobil 1 but what weight of oil can you use?

I have been told lucas oil straight but thought it was very thick for the charger so I did some searching and used the leftover mobil 1 10-30 I had. It sounds like Mobil 1 is ok to use but is 10-30 to high?

Yeah...10-30 is too high. Most of us use what'* left over after an oil (5w-30) and filter change and change the SC oil also - about every 3rd oil change or so.

why not use the factory oil. both GM and Ford have factory SCs so could use either.
if there is a difference, why mess around. it is kinda expensive but it is not supposed to be changed too often (manuals actually say top off not change).
SCs are such high rpm units, you don't want that oil breaking down.
just thoughts.

Here'* the thread where TLSheff (working at a dealership) was able to take a couple pics of the Tech Bulletin.
