Spark plug gap ???

Hey guys...I am installing a set of NGK IX...Gap should be .060 right???

My old ones coming out are open to let the gap tool freely pass thru...BUT my new NGK's are just a bit tight....(060 won't pass thru...but all seem consistent in gap)

QUESTION: should I open them to let gap tool freely pass thru

OR are the NGK meant to be just a bit tighter????

HELP...I am in the mode NOW....

I think it's .055 for SC and .060 for non. NGK Reccomendation.

I also went with the gap that came from the box. They were all the exact same gap and they do run great!
