Default Does anyone know how to rebuild the Eaton Supercharger??

Does anyone know how to do a rebuild on the eaton supercharger. I am not talking about putting a new coupler in which is simple to do. I am talking about removing the shaft and removing the 2 bearings. Then installing 2 new bearings and installing a new seal? If anyone has done it please reply with any information you have including bearing and seal part numbers and manufacturer. Also did you use a single or double thickness seal. How did you measure tolerences to reinstall everything? Any information from someone that knows would be great. AGAIN I AM NOT TALKING ABOUT PUTTING A COUPLER IN! Thanks

Here, read this. It'* an M90 rebuild. I'll keep looking for something a little more detailed. It explains the bearing removal and shaft removal a little.

Ok Wildman that is getting closer. I have talked to Magnisun products and they do not sell a rebuild kit but of course they will rebuild it for a grand! Also they will not disclose any specs on the rebuild. WillWren no offence but yours is only about doing a coupler replacement which is good information but is pretty simple to do. There has got to be someone in here that has done a actual complete rebuild of the nose. Please step forward and speak :?: Thanks

Hmm...I wonder if anyone here has done it that in-depth as you say. If you end up doing it, please take pics and tips on doing it so we can post it in Tech Info.

Default I just did

http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...pic.php?t=8332

Check the above link. I just did the nose and repacked the needle bearings.

The only thing I don't think you can do is the front rotor bearings, which would require pressing the gears off of the rotors and repack/replace those bearings and repress, BUT this is a critical clearance which I don't think a machine shop could do without special fixtures and measuring devices.
