Boost Gauge install, Almost there...
Thanks to Wilwren for this information:

I only have one problem. When the car is at idle the gauge is showing 15# of vacuum. Gas it and it goes to "0". It is working properly, but the gauge is starting as a vacuum and going to zero instead of starting at zero and boosting to 15#. Can anyone offer a helpful hint? I don’t think that I have leaks.
I had it hooked up before with a "Y" instead of a "T" and it started at "0" and vacuumed to -"15" instead of boosting.
Thank you

You will bypass your boost in Park, Neutral, or Reverse. Go drive the car. You'll get full boost under load in a drive gear at WOT.
I'll move this to Forced Induction for you.
(BTW, that'* 15" of water of vacuum.....how much vacuum it takes to pull water 15" up a 'loop' with the other end exposed to atmospheric pressure).
0 on the gauge is atmospheric pressure. That'* where you transistion from vacuum (like our NA brothers always run) into boost.

1995 Park Ave. Same motor as a 95 SSEi. Not a series II. My Park Ave. has nothing in the way of gauges except for gas, tach, and spedo...oh and voltage. Nothing remotely close to boost...It is set up exactly as in the diagram in the first post by Willwren....Thanks,

Stock boost should be about 7-8psi. Make sure your tube isn't too long (shortest path possible) and has no kinks in it.
Can you put a shorter tube on it, and tuck it under the hood to let it rest on the cowl and see what you get?

It may have been 6-7 lbs, I just took a quick run. Should it be at 15" though on a 55mph cruise? If so then I am going to mount it this afternoon. Thanks,
