Remove and Not Replace S/C

Is it easy to remove and not replace the S/C on a 1993 SSEi? Instead of buying a rebuilt s/c wouldn't it be easier, faster, cheaper to put in a regular manifold? If so, do you have estimated part costs and time to do it? Wouldn't performance be like an SSE? thanks

You'd need the engine wiring harness and PCM from a non-supercharged car as well.

Thanks - any idea how much these things cost? Can I take them off another engine (used) without problems?

You'd probably end up spending more than it would cost to repair your existing SC. What's wrong with it? They're really simple to work on.

Look at it this way....I can get you a Rebuilt SC to OEM specs for under $1100.00 CAN Exchanged! The engine wiring harness alone is gonna cost you more than that! & we haven't added any labour yet plus other parts like Intake manifolds for a NA'd 3800 etc.....
Doubt me? Look here >>>>> http://www.bonnevilleattitude.com/st...roducts_id=604

95% of what could go wrong with your SC can be repaired for under 200 bucks by yourself.

You don't wanna replace it. That rebuilt will be good, but if that's too much, you an always find a used one, check out the for sale part of this forum, someone might be parting out an SSEi.
