Default Supercharge Care and Feeding and Other Things

As some of you know I just purchased a 2001 SC with 30K. Runs and looks great. Has been well cared for. Was a lease vehicle. Previous owner said it was babied. BUT... I have questions regarding care and feeding of the supercharger. Scares me a little. :?

Owner'* manual says it'* ready for SC oil check. What else should I inspect? Where do I get oil if I need it. What type of oil, etc. Should I replace the oil? Are there 2 inspection holes or what?

I've owned a 92 SSE since new so I know how to care for the gal otherwise!

One other question please:

I notice that there are two, 2-part flimsy slip-fit plastic brackets attached to the top front lip of the trunk opening on each side. Each attaches to the left and right side of a plastic panel cover that appears to push up against the back of the rear seat. What are these for? Looks like overkill to me. AND it looks like that back seat panel support? is not all the way up against the rear of the seats, but it also looks like each plastic slip-fitter bracket needs to be shortened by pushing each end together so that a plastic button pops into place. Does anyone here know what I'm referring to? It seems like these goofy little supports are actually "underdesigned." Surely they must do something other than what I am guessing they do.

Using an allen wrench, remove the fill/check plug on the nosedrive. Fill the nosedrive to the bottom of the threads. This is the only openening.

Oil from the dealer only. At 30k miles, I'd be tempted to change the oil entirely. Check Techinfo for details.

Thanks willren.

BTW, think you could post a little bigger picture of that lube bottle?
