Supercharger Coupler Whoes...
As far as I can tell from reading several postings, my 94 Bonneville SSEi has a bad coupler. Loud rattling noise at idle which goes mostly away when driving. I am ready to order the parts but a bit confused. I want the kit from ZZP as many have mentioned but not sure what to order. I want to upgrade the SC as much as I can for reasonable price at the same time. I heard that getting a smaller pulley is what I need for my older style SC, is that right? Also will the M90 coupler and kit fit my SC? Where exactly do I order all this stuff and are GTP parts the same? Any other quick performance boosters or "might as well fix now" items i should do/get while I am at it? What about the nose cone bearings?? Anything else needed in a rebuild? Can all this rebuilding be done without special tools?
Thanks for any help. By the way, I love this site and you are sure to hear from me many times. I love my Bonnie and plan on keeping it running as long as I can, or until premium reaches $3.00 a gallon. Tally ho, and thanks again...

The bearings, seals, and coupler are identical. The pulleys are not. www.rollingperformance.com is another source, and the M90 kit is what you want for your M62.
The 94/95 M62 used a 2.85" pulley. You can beg an old 2.55" pulley from a 92/93 here if there are any available, or order one from www.pulleyboys.com when his site comes back up. Just don't go smaller than 2.5". It'll be self-defeating.

I give up!
This coupler/bearing squeak and rattle has been an ongoing issue for my Bonnie for over 3 months now. It'* getting louder too and no one wants to fix it for me! I do not have the know how to attack this myself. I won't tell you what happened the last time I attempted to fix something on my car....all I'll say is that I wound up needing a tow truck, lol. Every mechanic I've called tells me that "superchargers can't be rebuilt." I tell them, "Yes they can, I got the parts to do it...and it'* the NOSE CONE, not the SC itself!!" I am getting really frusterated here. I got the M90 rebuild kit as well as the ZZP coupler. Why won't anyone install these things for me!!!!

Well, since the weather is going to be getting colder, I want to go ahead and get the bearing and coupler fixed ASAP. My dad is good friends with the service manager at a Chevy dealership nearby. I just called him and he said it'* no problem, but it'd be a good idea to get the rotor seals replaced at the same time. Umm, what are rotor seals and where can I get them? Thanks!!

Rotor seals are like muffler bearings. They don't exist. Maybe he'* talking about rotor bearings?

That link. The dealer will not have them. The dealer will not carry any of the seals or bearings, much less the coupler for any Supercharger. They're not allowed to do anything other than replace the whole SC or the ND.
