Is it vital to fix this? Is it a precurser to something breaking? It seems to only make that sound at idle. Car runs great besides the annoying noise when I'm stopped.

Actually it goes away when I give it the slightest gas. I was wondering if maybe the idle was set too low.

Over time the coupler will become more and more damaged. It'* also making a lot of noise that the knock sensors can pick up. It is something that can be put off for a while, but don't just let it go.

Hey Danthurs........It might be a good idea on your "change supercharge coupler" thread to warn those with 95 and ealier, the whole supercharger has to come out. If i had known all that, i might not have tried to attempt this myself.

stooge5444, it also would be a good idea to update your signature to include your trim model and year. that way we can see what kind of car u are driving and help you better.
