Default Gen V Supercharger Swap

I hope this is the right section to start this thread.
It will cronical my Gen III to V swap over the next season.
I intend on taking my time with preparations and the final interchange.

Yes it finally arrived today in the mail.

The only bad news is that the gaskets that were packaged together with it and the Intake manifold are damaged to a point that I will not use them.

They are ruined, as I suspected they might be if they were not shipped separately or at least packed well enough to prevent the heavy supercharger and manifold from crushing and deforming them beyond reliable usefulness.

The Supercharger gasket is badly dented and one bolt hole ear is ripped.
The Lower Intake gasket, one of the set, is bent and scored across it by the edge of the manifold.
The graphite Throttle body gasket that mates with the throttle body is dented so bad it ripped.

I should have listened to my intuition and insisted they ship separately, but when I asked Todd, he assured me they would be packed well enough to prevent damage.

The cardboard box was flimsy and not strong enough to prevent one corner from ripping open. Thank goodness the SC inlet flange does not look damaged.

They also used that blasted peanut styrofoam so they are stuffed into every pocket and inside the internals....have to get those suckers outta there.

I have E-mailed Rogue and am confident that INTENSE will be the Vendor I have trust in to make good on replacing them.
It'* not a disaster because I can wait since the install won't happen for a couple of months.

Compared to my original pristine Gen III it looks like it'* about 10 years older due to surface oxidation.
It'* not anodized like my Gen III....which is better for heat transfer....and I will buff it up.
Also the EGR sure carbons up the intake side. When I bypassed mine a couple of years ago, it really keeps it licky clean but this one is all black, oily and dirty.

The INTENSE throttle body adapter is a quality piece and was undamaged.

I will post pics soon.

....and will have plenty of questions along the way.
This is going to be fun.

I doubt the progress pics will be very unique. This SHOULD go fairly smoothly, part for part.

****. It'* Paul. Ummmm.....if we send a team of Gearheads up to Prince Rapunzel Island, it SHOULD go fairly smoothly.

Paul...

I know Intense will take care of the gaskets etc. Meanwhile, if I can suggest pulling the rotors out, taping over the bearing holes and cleaning that baby up.

Is that a bad heli-coil thread insert on the inlet? For the TB stud? Bottom left?
