If the noise is only at idle, it'* not the bearings. It'* the coupler. Many of us have changed this. It'* easy and relatively cheap. Take your belt off the SC, and move the pulley back and forth. Do you feel any play? If so, it'* the coupler.

Moving to Forced Induction.

it'* the super charger coupler. It'* inside the nosecone. Not too bad a job if you know anything about mechanics. I'm an amateur and had no problem doing mine in a day.

This should help a lot, mechanics don't see these cars everyday, so they just don't know.....these guys do.

Here is how to do it http://www.cardomain.com/memberpage/479367/2

hope it helps

Take off the drive belt. Move the SC pulley back and forth quickly. Do you feel slack ? or a dead spot ? If so it'* the coupler.

I really want to attempt the coupler change too, but after reading all the posts it doesn't sound like a do-it-yourself job. I've narrowed my sqeaking issue down to the coupler, as it only does it at idle. It is getting worse, so I'd like to fix it ASAP. But like I've mentioned a million times, I can't find a mechanic willing to do this for me. I've asked atleast a dozen. I have basic tools, but I don't have REAL good mechanical skills. I know the fuel rail and injectors have to be removed...that'* where I get snagged. Should someone like myself attepmt this or should I keep searching for a mechanic. I don't want to do more harm than good.
