isnt that a boost control solenoid? I may be wrong but thats what I thought.

they also are cheap. They also fail and cause pretty shoddy performance.

I assume you dont have a boost gauge to see.

The previous owner had the coupler rattle and we guess (Oldsman and I) that they took it to some mechanic who figured they would have to replace the whole supercharger and instead just by-passed the valve and left the supercharger off the belt. So now when we change the coupler we want to make sure that all the connections are complete so we don't get any bad surprises.

Thanks in advance for the help you guys!

Ohh, okay Thanks! I am guessing we should be replacing that actuator.

What about the vaccuum tree on the 3rd picture? Is the middle vaccuum line supposed to be going somewhere or is it supposed to be capped off as it is in the picture?

If the boost control actuator is actually shot/malfunctioning what symptoms should we look for, that would show us that the actuator needs to be replaced?

For the boost control actuator, give Magnuson a call. GM wants over $300. Magnuson is a mere $40
