ok now that we know a few things since you edited the post.....
Honestly its easier and better to sell the car and buy an SSEI
the next best option is to get a complete drive train out of a SC car and swap in to your current car
the last option is to SC your current motor, you will need lots of parts, and they you STILL have to worry about fragging the trans
Im working on SC'n my L27 in my 93, BUT i will be running low Boost, and i have a good Trans to start with.....KEEP in mind this is NOT the most econimical thing to be doing

Ok, first of all, I don't think I'd be doing it to any car with those miles without some serious forethought. Compression checks new valvesprings, lifters, things like that. Secondly, what performance chip do you have?

Yeeeeah that'* the thing. Your L27 would be pretty darn similar to my LN3, so swapping parts would be feasible. However, it still is rather intensive. With your high mileage, I would just go ahead and swap in an L67 that would otherwise be the parts donor. One can come up with a list of all the parts, but a good running L67 can be had for $475, so it would be difficult to find just the parts that are cheaper.
And yes, the transmission. Been running the */C since 153k miles and now at 169k. Has it blown up? No. Does it still work fine? Yes. But it'* original. A stock tranny would probably need a rebuild at this point, but mine'* got a lot more stress than a stock vehicle. Sure the Mobil 1 and tranny cooler helps, but how much? It'* still going to die. When? I dunno.
Just hope it isn't before I take it down for the winter, and swap in the 6 speed manual . problem solved.
