Default How Do I Install Auto Climate Control (& OnStar) in a 20

I have a 2000 Bonneville SE with standard climate control. I want to install automatic climate control. I know this is a complicated proceedure. However, I am willing to take on the task. Does anyone know where to buy (other than eBay, whichh never has anything, and a junk yard) an automatic climate control unit plus the sensors. Also, does anyone know how to hook it up? If not, does anyone know where I can look to find out? I am also looking for a complete OnStar system as well.

Mremer (member here) has an se and bought a auto climate control off ebay. He never did install it.
You will need,
Climate control module.
Dash intgeration module
Complete class 2 upgrade
Various ducting and switching solenoids
hundreds of hours of time.
Factory service manual.

And to be honest the auto climate control is crap, I run mine manual all the time as do most that have them. http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=28108

The on star mirror is pausible http://www.bonnevilleclub.com/forum/...ic.php?t=27808

OK. I already have a dash integration module. I thought all Bonnevilles have them. Second, what is a Class 2 Upgrade. I thought the computer already had this stuff programed and that we'd just need to hook up the neccessary stuff. Third, where is a good place to buy a Factory Service Manual. I know they're expensive and I never see one on eBay for a 2000 Bonneville.

Good luck with this, one look at the schematics and all the extra parts I would need was enough to scare me off. If you don't have the auto climate control let me know, I'll make you a real GOOD deal on one.

I would like one, yes. Would the control work fine if I just left it on manual by chance, and I didn't do all that other stuff you said?

Are you sure about that? I think that you're thinking of the pre-2000 models. 2000 and up models all use the same "computer ribbon" type plug.

It is a differernt size ribbon, and its a part of the subdash. When I found out that I could'nt even "plug" the Auto climate control box into the manual ribbon, I gave up. Just remove your unit (no screws) and look at the harness.

***T! That sucks. OK, nevermind then. I'll just wait till I have to buy a new Bonneville.
